Nonfic: Printing Paper

Special paper for kids who have problems staying between the lines when handwriting.

Let me know if you like them, or want anything changed. I'm working on versions you can print directly from the browser, and other versions where you can specify the line spacing. I tried one with faint vertical lines, but didn't like it enough to put up.

Email me or use the feedback form if you like them, or want something slightly different. In most cases, it's easy for me to change but difficult to describe how.

All are MSWord unless specified.

papersize.doc To check which size lines the student likes best. Prints several sizes over three pages.
paper1.doc Solid, dashed, solid. Most put the lower case letters between a dotted and solid line. Some prefer to put the lower case letters between two solid lines, with the tall letters stretching up to the dotted line.
paper2.doc As for One, but with faint colours between the lines.
paper3.doc Solid, dashed, solid, faint dashed. Good for Loops and Groups program with drop letters.
paper4.doc Dotted, dotted, solid. Takes fewer lines than the above.

Instructions

Any reasonably current version of MSOffice and/or MSWord will open it fine. So should most of their competitors.

To Print:

Works best on a colour printer.

  1. Print Preview to determine which pages you want. There are more lines than will fit on a page.
  2. Follow MSWord's instructions to print several copies of the page(s) you want.

To Change Line Spacing:

  1. Edit/Select All
  2. Format/Paragraph
    Line Spacing: Single
    At: whatever you like
Be sure to include the units (pt is the default)

The spacing between the lines is somewhat arbitrary. What Word claims to be 3mm isn't.
