The Phantom
In the summer and fall of 2003, I role-played in a shared universe. James Bond / Rainbow 6 sorta team. Private, anti-terrorist, well-funded. We played with my character a bit when she was 24, just to set up some background, and then jumped ahead to age 34, the "now" for the team. That left ten years for me to fill in. This collection of short stories is the result.
One day, I might turn it into a proper novel. Until then, this is all you get to see.
This is based loosely on the role play. Can you say "infodump"?
We all start somewhere. Some of us start more than once.
Starting over isn't easy.
Problems can be solved, with a bit of ingenuity.
Sometimes you don't want to remember.
We all need a little help sometimes. (And I think I need some help in making this one decent.)
Private people do not like to be in the news.
